Spit on a Stranger

An animated lyric video to the song “Spit on a Stranger” as covered by Nickel Creek. With this project I wanted to capture the bittersweet nature of the lyrics, while playing up the energetic tone and quality of the music.

Petco

A conceptual rebranding of Petco with an emphasis on illustration and a full line of animal mascots inspired from Petco’s iconic red dog and blue cat logo.

Pink Gecko Quilts

Pink Gecko Quilts is brand for my mom’s quilts. The trick was balancing the textured, scrappiness of quilting with a system that felt well considered and professional in a competitive landscape of hobbyist.

About me

My name is Charlie Long, and I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and motion designer/animator who graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Communication Design and have been working as a professional designer since 2014.

A majority of my experience has been in marketing through print, digital, social, and conferences/events for B2B and EdTech. I pride myself in not just being a designer, but a collaborator who can help solve problems, address pain points, and deliver results that matter to you.
